Children’s Wishing Well (CWW) is a registered charity and IPC that focuses on supporting disadvantaged children and youth from low-income families. CWW reaches out to over 1,000 beneficiaries each year through their educational and financial assistance programs.
This collaboration brought together 10 children from low-income families and 10 4Life volunteers. Each child was paired with a volunteer for a supermarket shopping experience, where the children could select items within the budget of 50 SGD per child.
Together, the volunteers and children worked through shopping lists, ensuring that the selected items met the program’s guidelines. The volunteers provided guidance, teaching the children how to choose nutritious, affordable food. The children gained essential life skills in nutrition, budgeting, and decision-making—skills that will benefit them far beyond the shopping trip.
Among the speakers were Gold Affiliates Salim Raghavan & Noor Azlina and Director of Business Development and Product Training Yong Wai Chin.
Yong Wai Chin: “At Foundation 4Life, service is at the core of what we do. Partnering with Children’s Wishing Well for the FRESH Program has been an honor. It's a privilege to support our community, especially in moments that create a lasting impact on both our volunteers and the children we serve.”
Children’s Wishing Well: “We are thankful for the support and guidance that the 4Life team offered towards the children during the FRESH program. The children and their families are grateful for the opportunity, and we hope it was a similarly meaningful experience for the 4Life team, too.”
